Discipleship
Discipleship is abiding in Christ until death. The chief goal of the Christian is to remain Christian -- remain confessing that our Lord Jesus is risen from the dead and is the Christ, the one who was appointed to bring to fulfillment all the promises that God lavishes upon his people.
We have a few resources that you may find helpful for your faith: (1) our orthodox stance on being for life and against abortion found here, as well as our statement for marriage between man and woman, and against deviant sexualities and transgenderism; (2) a resource written and edited by the late Fred Schamber, Fish Hooks, which is a catechism of sorts found here.

Christianity On...
Throughout the year, we host four types of events: Christianity on Topic, Christianity on Film, Christianity in Print, and Christianity on Tap. These typically happen on the last Saturday afternoon of each month-check the church calendar for details!
The goal of these events is to put faith into practice by engaging with difficult topics, and to encourage and challenge each other in the faith.
Visitors are always welcome! Each event is a stand-alone, so don't worry if you haven't attended previous sessions.
Christianity on Topic: Pastor Justin gives a short lecture on a current issue, with Q&A and discussion to follow.
- Most recently, Pastor Justin spoke on the Dangers of Discipleship in the Age of AI, in two parts. You can read the first part here and the second part here.
- Another recent lecture was on the Nicene Creed. You can read that here.
Christianity on Film: We watch a film together, followed by discussion. Most recently, we watched the film Bonhoeffer.
Christianity in Print: We read a selected book (or part of a book), and gather to discuss it. In April, we will be discussing the first five chapters of Good News for Anxious Christians by Phillip Carey. Our last read was Live Not By Lies by Rod Dreher, which sparked lively discussion!
Christianity on Tap: We meet at a restaurant or bar for good food and drink and to discuss challenging cultural or theological topics. Most recently, our discussions focused on the ails of the American church, and dispensationalism.
